Vail, CO Town Council Votes to Permanently Ban Marijuana Earlier this week, SnowBrains reported on Vail, CO putting a vote to permanently banning marijuana retailers in the town of Vail. On Tuesday night the Vail town council voted 6-1 in favor of banning marijuana sales in Vail giving “first reading approval” to the ban. This vote was the first step in making Vail’s 2014 temporary ban on marijuana stores in Vail permanent. Final approval voting will take place on August 4th, 2015. Future town councils can reverse this ban at any time. It won’t exactly be a permanent ban but more of a “banned for now” situation. Colorado On-Track for Most Skier Visits on Record | Is Legal Marijuana to Blame? Last winter, Colorado experienced its most skier visits ever recorded at 12.6 million skier visits – which is also the most any US state has ever received. 12.6 million skier visits is a lot of skier visits.
