Park City & Canyons to Connect in 2015 | Largest Ski Resort in USA Being Formed

Park City and Canyons will connect

Park City was bought by Vail this year after an epic legal battle with PowdrCorp. Vail now owns Park City and The Canyons ski resorts and they are adjacent to each other. The logical next move? Join them together and make the largest ski resort in the USA at 7,300 acres of skiable terrain. Vail will be putting $50 million into the two resorts. RIP Alpine Meadows Website…

SquawAlpine.com's new website for Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley.

Alpine Meadow’s website is officially no more. It was SkiAlpine.com. SkiAlpine.com now redirects you to the new website called SquawAlpine.com that encompasses both ski resort. There aren’t any photos of Alpine on the homepage just yet. It’s quite Squaw for the time being. In 2012, Squaw Valley’s new owners, KSL, bought Alpine Meadows. VAIL: Park City & Canyons WILL CONNECT in 2015/16

Park City - Canyons connect.

Vail just bought Park City ski resort last week for $182.5 million. What many of us missed in the announcement is that they stated that they will be connecting Park City ski resort to the Canyons ski resort (also run by Vail).
