Bear Falls Off Embankment and Lands on Police Cruiser Causing it to Flip and Start a Wildfire A patrol car was struck by a falling bear in Northern California last weekend. The bear dropped out of the sky, landed on top of a Humboldt County sheriff deputy’s cruiser that was responding to a call on Highway 96 near Weitchpec.
