first snow of the winter

The first snowfall of the 2014/15 is on its way this weekend in the Sierra Nevada, California. NOAA is forecasting snow above 8,000-feet on Friday night and Saturday. Up to 4″ is forecasted on Sonora Pass, CA. It ain’t much, but we’ll take it. What it really means is that winter is on it’s way.
