Surfing Lake Tahoe Today | 6-Foot Stellar Waves | Photos & Video Lake Tahoe had it’s best surfing day in recent history. Surfing on the lake hasn’t been popular for that long. In it’s short history, today was the best day that anyone could remember. The waves were big, they had good shape, and they were peeling. 50-yard rides were had which is pretty ridiculous considering this is a lake with only 22 miles of fetch. People were surfing all over the North Shore. Some spots were overhead with ripping winds and rowdy rides. Some spots were smooth with peeling waves and moderate crowds.
