Squaw filed for a permit to replace the chair in 2015 back in October 2014. Siberia is a legendary chair and is rumored to be the first ever high speed quad in the USA. Squaw Valley Files to Replace Siberia Chairlift in 2015 The Siberia chairlift at Squaw Valley, CA is the oldest detachable quad chairlift in the USA. Squaw has requested a Conditional Use Permit to replace the Siberia chair in 2015.
