The Monster South American Storm Continues | Snow Totals & Photo Tour:

Portillo, Chile last night.

The large storm originally forecast to drop 19-feet of snow on central Chile in 4 days is continuing today. So far, ski resorts are reporting numbers around 40-50″ of new snow from the past two days. Most of these ski resorts are terrible about reporting snow numbers, but we dug up everything we could find. This storm is big, it’s strong, and it’s forecast to stay around for a few more days. This storm was strong enough to keep Portillo closed all day yesterday and most likely they’ll be closed again today.
