Bariloche, Argentina Conditions Report: Violently Bluebird Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina experienced an impeccable day today. No wind, warm temps, good snow, great times. Southern aspects are still holding chalky, powdery snow. North faces have fun sun cooked pow. In bounds skied great today in the sun. Nubes was skiing well, Del Bosque even had some huckable cliffs in the soft afternoon snow. Our crew climbed up to the spires in La Laguna and dropped off the back – “Tower Chute” – for a long run into the Van Titter valley. The snow was powdery, chalky, and damn fast. The views from the mountain were […] Conditions Report SnowBrains | August 20, 2015 0 Comments

El Colorado, Chile Conditions Report: It Just Keeps Snowing… Our day in El Colorado last thursday was a windless bright sunny day with cumulus clouds billowing below. 5-10 cm had fallen at the end of Wednesday, not really covering the prior days tracks, but providing an icing to the cake, and making the whole mountain skiable. From the top of Cono Este (which could be the best biggest bang for your buck lift if it weren’t an ancient t-bar), the […] Conditions Report Guest Author | August 17, 2015 1 Comment

VIDEO: “Getting Stupid in Las Lenas” – August 2015 Our buddy Dorian got stupid in Las Lenas in early August this summer. Some of these lines are, well, kinda silly. Very high penalty, tight, claustrophobic, scary, rocky, sketchy lines. That’s what this guy is into and that’s what Las Lenas delivers on a platter on powder days. Most the lines in this video were filmed right off the Marte chair. Yep, you just ride up a chairlift to get to these lines. Las Lenas is a couloir skier’s dream come true. If you like big open terrain, there is a bit of that, too. But couloirs are king here. Miles Clark | August 15, 2015 3 Comments

Bariloche, Argentina Conditions Report: Today was the Day Today, was a spectacular day at Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina. It was our second splendiferous day in a week since last Monday was brilliant. The day started with 4-10″ of new snow on top of a crunchy/hard layer and dense fog up top. We feared the day would be a wash with great snow and no visibility. After hiking Nubes three times and getting some terrible visibility and some OK visibility, the sun finally popped and the Nubes chair opened up. We ripped two high speed laps on the Nubes chair that were absolutely amazing. Full speed, slashing turns, laughing, hitting […] Conditions Report Miles Clark | August 10, 2015 1 Comment
