Snowpack Depth Across Western USA | May 12, 2014 This is an image of snowpack depth in the western USA as of May 12th, 2015. The snowpack is deepest in northern Washington, northern Idaho, northern Montana, and northern Wyoming. The California snowpack is nearly non-existent. What’s really interesting about the above image is that nearly all of the snowpack in the west is in Idaho. Central Idaho is nearly inaccessible, rugged, burly mountains.
