A storm is raging in Lake Tahoe right now and has already dropped around 5-12” of new snow. 4-8” of snow were forecasted in the above 6,000 feet through Tuesday. We’ve already gotten up to 5” of snow in Tahoe at the lower elevations is some location in Tahoe and it’s not over yet.
This morning, NOAA upped snow totals and added a Winter Weather Advisory saying that they were now expecting 6-10 inches of snow above 7,000 feet and 3-6 inches of snow at lake level.
It appears that many upper elevation areas in Lake Tahoe got over a foot of snow. Ski resorts aren’t reporting totals yet due to them being closed. This snow might even stick around for a bit if we’re lucky…
Snow levels are expected to drop to 4,500 feet today with even more snow coming.
Tahoe is lookin’ white and lookin’ good!
