TGR Expands to Utah Just In Time For Summer Season
Teton Gravity Research (TGR), the global leader in action and adventure lifestyle media, announced today that it will open a pop-up retail shop in the heart of Park City over Memorial Day Weekend, marking the companyโs latest move to expand its retail footprint by opening doors to customers in Utahโs premier winter and summer destination town.
The pop-up shop will be located on Park Cityโs Lower Main Street (613 Main Street) and offer a variety of TGRโs acclaimed lifestyle apparel and optics, just in time for the townโs vibrant summer season to begin. In the fall shoulder season, TGR will close the pop-up shop and pivot to full construction mode. The pop-up will transform into a fully immersive action sports and brand lifestyle experience featuring a state-of-the-art theater to showcase TGRโs nearly 60 award-winning films, and it will also be available to host private gatherings and community events.
Park City has been on TGRโs radar for years thanks to the townโs collective passion for the outdoors and its world-renowned Winter Olympics legacy after it hosted the skiing events during the Salt Lake City Winter Games in 2002. The Park City pop-up shop is the sixth brick-and-mortar retail location for TGR and follows the success of other popular outdoor destinations, including Breckenridge, CO, Bozeman, MT, and Jackson Hole, WY. TGR also anticipates the grand opening of a flagship retail store on Boulderโs renowned Pearl Street this summer.
โWe see this as such an Incredible opportunity to bring an authentic global brand like TGR to Park City. TGR puts athletes front and center, from seasoned big-mountain shredders to aspiring groms. Weโre thrilled to share our action sport, youth-focused mission with Utahns.โ
–ย TGR co-founders Steve Jones and Todd Jones
TGR endeavors to create a community connection with its new pop-up shop and on-the-ground team. By partnering with the Park City community and Utah nonprofit organizations focused on outdoor, snow, and youth sports development, TGR sees itself as integral to creating fundraising and capacity-building opportunities. TGR will also hire locally to staff the shop and contribute to the local economy during the winter and summer seasons.
โTGR believes in building a strong community. Itโs a part of our ethos and mission. We canโt wait to meet and work with Park City and Utah organizations to bring the stoke and inspire getting after it in the outdoors.โ
–ย TGR Retail Director Devin Gillette, a Park City native
