The ongoing search for missing northern Californian man, Tyler Evans, enters into its third week.
Evans and his dog went missing during the first week of March, according to his motherโs Facebook post. He was last seen with his dog in Siskiyou County, California. He has been without a car, sleeping bag, or protection from weather conditions since he went missing in early March. The Siskiyou County, CA and Jackson County, OR Sheriffโs offices have been helping to locate Evans with any and all resources possible.ย
There was a breakthrough in Evansโ disappearance when a man found Evansโ dog, Ali, near a road in Trail, Oregon on Wednesday, March 19th. Since then, police have been unable to locate anything that would indicate Tyler Evansโ whereabouts.ย
Although the search has lasted three weeks so far, family and friends refuse to lose hope. Many people who Evans had a close personal connection with have come out of the woodworks to help find him. One of Evansโ family members even reached out to the Civil Air Patrol to contribute to the effort to bring Tyler Evans home. Civil Air Patrol heard the crucial request for help, and they sent equipment to conduct flyover searches over Northern California and Oregon over the weekend.ย
With the help of friends and family, Evansโ mother posted an update to Facebook yesterday saying the team has made a lot of progress in the search over the weekend.
โTomorrow we are returning – we believe we may be close to finding our baby!! It was wonderful to meet more people that love our son today!!!โย
Jackson County, Oregonโs Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone with information on the case to contact Sgt. Shawn Richards at (541) 591-1843.ย
Evansโ mother will also continue to update the public via her Facebook account.
