SHREDDIT SHOWDOWN UPDATE:

With the help of our friends at SnowBrains.com, the Shreddit Showdown Ski Movie Contest is still ON! Sadly, the big night announcing the winning ski edits has been canceled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Entry for the contest opens March 21st, Saturday, and closes March 30th at GraniteChief.com. Most of the entries come in the last days of the entry timeframe, but the earlier you get your edit in, the more Facebook votes youโ€™re likely to get.

While weโ€™re all confined to our house and away from friends, Granite Chief, SnowBrains, and the Shreddit Showdown sponsors are hoping to bring some excitement and relief from boredom, by watching the ski edit entries.

The 7th Annual Shreddit Showdown and the Shreddie Awards Evening has grown into a popular event in the Truckee/Tahoe area. The skiing and filmmaking talent in our ski communities around the country is unreal, the edits are always amazing and youโ€™ll be stoked by the skiing! We hope youโ€™ll laugh, holler and remember why we love skiing and our ski community.

As the 3-minute ski movies come in they will be posted on Granite Chief Ski and Mountain Shopโ€™s Facebook page and at GraniteChief.com. Help pick the winners for the Peopleโ€™s Choice Award by voting for your favorite movie on Facebook.

Our contest judges, Connery Lundin, Jamie Burge, Eric Bryant, Sean Carey, Charlie Hepburn, Shannon and Tim Parratto, and Chris Tiller, will pick the top three winners in each category and the Silver Bullet Award. The winners will be announced on SnowBrains.com and Facebook.

The Shreddit Showdown, the sickest ski movie contest in the west, is sponsored by Blizzard Skis, Tecnica, FlyLow, Smith, Helly Hansen, GoPro, and Backcountry Access.
