Winter’s here!ย Finally, after an endless summer, snow is falling, resorts are making snow, and some are opening earlier than planned.

If you want to ski this weekend, these resorts are open for your shredding pleasure. You might be sharing the lift line with the rest of the snow-starved state, but it’s good to be back on snow, right?!

Be aware that early season conditions exist, and some resorts are open for intermediate to advanced skiers only.

Arapahoe Basin, CO

A-Basin is opening this Saturday, November 2. A-Basin has a long-standing history of being among the first in the U.S. to open each season. Opening weekend will feature giveaways and donuts for the first guests in line.

Keystone Resort, CO

Keystone Resort is opening this Saturday, November 2, and will offer more than two miles of skiing and riding on the popular Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails. For newcomers or those looking to brush up on their skills, a designated learning area will be available on the Kokomo Carpet, while a hike-to terrain park awaits at the top of the Spring Dipper for those seeking some early-season freestyle action.

Wolf Creek, CO

Ski Ward, MA

Ski Ward was the first resort to open in the USA and North America. Unfortunately, temperatures recently have been too high during the day, meaning the rail jam scheduled for this weekend will have to be postponed by a week. If you are already registered, an email will be going out with refund and rescheduling options.

Lee Canyon, NV

Lee Canyon will open this weekend on November 2, making it the first resort to open in Nevada. It is the first time in the resortโ€™s history that Lee Canyon will be open for both skiing and biking on the same weekend.

As the only indoor ski resort in North America, Big Snow offers turns year-round regardless of the weather.ย The ski area offers three trails, including a terrain park, that are served by one chairlift, a poma lift, and a magic carpet for beginners.
