Police are searching for thieves who stole $500,000 worth of merchandise from the Louis Vuitton store in downtown Aspen, CO, on Saturday, reports the Aspen Times.

The thieves entered the store between 830 pm and 11 pm on Saturday by cutting a hole in the storeroom wall.ย One man, one woman, and two vehicles were caught by security cameras, although police think such a brazen robbery might have involved more people.

โ€œWe do have surveillance of some subjects and vehicles. We think they stole between $400,000 and $500,000 โ€ฆ of shoes, accessories, and clothing.โ€

The thieves used a cutting tool to create a hole in the drywall large enough for a person to squeeze through.ย They were in the store for at least an hour.

The two suspects were wearing wore โ€œCOVID-styleโ€ face masks. Police yesterday released still images from surveillance video of the man and woman next to a Dodge minivan and what looks like a Chrysler Pacifica.

Aspen Police Department can be contacted at 970-429-1822 if you have any information on the burglary.
