#7 Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France
Chamonix Mont-Blanc is unchanged from last week at 4.2 meters (14 feet) of snowdepth at peak, as the recent snowstorms brought more snow to the southeastern Alps. France did not receive as much snow as resorts further east near the Swiss Italian border.

#6 Flims Laax Falera, Switzerland
Flims Laax Falera received a top up of 15cm from last week, taking the resort’s snowdepth to 4.35 meters (14 feet). Flims Laax is typicaly open until mid-April, so it’s not too late to plan a ski trip to make the most of the great spring skiing.

#5 Saas-Fee, Switzerland
Brand new in the top 7 and shooting straight to fifth place is Saas-Fee in Switzerland with 4.4 meters (14 feet). The resort has seen roughly 1.5 meters of snow in the last week. Saas-Fee is Zermatt’s little sister, just one valley up from Zermatt. Like its big sister, it offers fantastic snow conditions and also has a car-free village.

#4 Flaine/Le Grand Massif, France
Le Grand Massif in France has had a nice top up of 35 cm (14 inches) from last week, taking snowdepth at the resort back up to 4.45 meters (15 feet). Le Grand Massif is located in the Haute-Savoie region and is one of France’s largest interconnected ski areas. The resort faces the famous Mont Blanc and boasts 152 ski runs for beginners and experts alike, serviced by 64 modern ski lifts.

#3 Stubaier Glacier, Austria
Stubai Glacier, the largest glacier ski area in Austria, remains in third place, with currently 4.55 meters (15 feet) of snow. Stubai received a huge chunk of the recent snowfalls, adding almost a meter of snow in the last week, making for great powder skiing. Stubaier Glacier is known for its excellent freeride terrain, with 14 dedicated freeride runs and an off-piste map

#2 Avoriaz/Portes du Soleil, France
Avoriaz in France has seen a nice top-up from last week with 13 cm (5 inches) of fresh snow falling, taking its current snowdepth to 4.63 meters (15 feet). Avoriaz is together with Morzine and Montriond part of the Portes du Soleil ski area. Morzine and Montriond have a little less snow than Avoriaz with 4.55 meters reported in each of those two resorts, making Avoriaz the resort with the most snow in the Portes du Soleil ski area.

#1 Alpe d’Huez, France
Still topping the list is Alpe d’Huez in France with 4.9 meters (16 feet), up 10 cm (4 inches) from last week. The highest peak in the Alpe d’Huez ski area in France is the Pic Blanc, reaching an altitude of 3,330 meters (10,925 feet). The ski run from Pic Blanc is the longest black run in Europe, called Sarenne, which is 16 kilometers (10 miles) long. Ski lifts at Alpe d’Huez will stay open until April 21, 2024.
