Spring is here and today was one of those perfect ones with plenty of sunshine, powder in the shade, corn in the sun, and tussock in the middle. It’s a good time to go exploring. We chose Gotliebs for most of our day, side country just beyond the Mototapu Chutes.
Even though there is plenty of soft snow in bounds and the groomers are ripping, a quick walk out to Gotliebs still presents plenty of good fresh snow. The lineup for Saddle Basin could’ve been worse, but it was definitely where the action was. Taking advantage of the great conditions in the side country was definitely the play.
A few more sunny days before a wetter weekend ought to offer more of the same.
