Three climbers were hit by a falling tree at the back of Lake Louise while climbing the popular crag Outhouse Wall. High winds caused the tree to break off and fall 80 to 100 meters and collide with the climbers standing at the bottom.

While all three were injured, the individual in critical condition is believed to have not been wearing a helmet. The area is clear of any remaining debris, however there are several more dead trees above the crag.

This incident emphasizes the necessity for protective equipment and awareness of surroundings.

In other words, always wear a helmet!
