Mammoth mountain in California got 30″ of snow at the summit and 12″ of snow at the base yesterday.  That’s a lot of snow…

“Winter has arrived in Mammoth with 12″ of glorious new snow at Main Lodge and 30″ up top.” – Mammoth today

NOAA’s forecasts were calling for 1-2 feet of snow at the highest elevations for this storm and they were right on with both Mammoth, Kirkwood, and Mt. Rose (higher elevation ski areas) getting over a foot of snow up top.

Mt. Rose, NV = 9-14″

Squaw Valley = 12″

Northstar = 13″

Boreal = 10″

Sugar Bowl = 8″

Bear Valley = 8″
