I was once told that to be considered an official ski bum I must ski 100 days a year. I’m not sure what that makes Genevieve Ormond, 59, then, who this season skied an amazing 200 days.
Ormond skied at Vail every single day it was open as well as Arapahoe Basin early and late season. Her season began on October 17th, at Arapahoe Basin and she completed her 200th day at A-Basin on May 24th, reports Vail Daily.
Ormond suffered a stroke while skiing at Vail in 2004 and had to relearn how to walk and talk. And ski.
In 2020 she skied 125 days, not bad considering resorts closed on March 14th due to the covid pandemic. Last season she managed 171.
