On April 2nd, we skied directly above Lake Tahoe, I mean, Valdez Harbor with World Cup ski racers Travis Ganong, Steve Nyman, Marie Gagnon with Pulseline Adventure.
We also got to ski with our good buddies Jeff and Gabe ๐
It was a an all-time crew.
The views were horribly good.
The snow was a bit wind-blasted up high, pretty darn good in the middle, then punchy and weird lower down.
Honestly, I struggled at times.
You know who didn’t struggle?
The world cup ski racers.
They ripped through the tough snow like it was nothing.
From the beach, we zipped across the harbor and hit a different zone called Salomon.
We found good snow out there and decided to step it up to the Sulfide area.
The first run was wide-open, high-speed, world cup approved.
The second run was a chute with serious steeps, big sluff, and some real consequence.
The wide-open skied weird and wind-pressed but fast and fun.
The chute skied like a dream.
Steep, recrystallized powder, big sluffs, full confidence.
That was our 10th and final run.
This was the most run I’ve ever skied on a heli day.
