Skiing Thru The Mist at 7:09pm at 61.22 Latitude in Valdez, AK

Report from April 14, 2025

Monday morning started out snowing hard at sea level.

Then, the clouds started to part around noon.

By 1 pm, we were airborne.

We started in an old favorite zone and found good snow.

As the day wore on, we bumped over to a huge, sunset-light-philic glacier that delivered.

High-quality powder snow.

Spectacular light.

We skied into the sunset and let the light drip off every fibre of our beings.

I camped for a month on this glacier back in 2016, and being back here rekindled many a kind memory.

Thanks, Alaska!
