Following last week’s massive snowstorm, Valle Nevado, South Americaโs premier ski resort, is thrilled to announce that it will open three weeks ahead of schedule on Friday, May 31, with four feet of snow.

From Friday, May 31 to Sunday, June 2, Valle Nevado will open with the Gondola, Prado, and Vaivรฉn lifts in operation. Daily tickets are priced at $25,000 CLP, and children under 12 and seniors over 75 ski for free. Available services include the Plaza la Gรณndola ticket office, rental equipment, rental wear, lockers, ski school, and the Valle Lounge restaurant. Following June 2, Valle Nevado will announce further updates to its operating schedule.
Valle Nevado, or “snowy valley” in Spanish, is renowned for having the deepest and most consistent snowpack in the Southern Hemisphere. The resort’s Heli-Ski operation, managed by the National Heli-Ski Association of Chile, provides thrilling full-day excursions with four to six heli-drops and half-day packages with two to three runs, each with an impressive vertical drop of 4,000 to 5,000 feet.
Valle Nevado will open early this season, from May 31 to June 2, allowing skiers and snowboarders to enjoy 4 feet of early-season snowfall.
