This is Josh Mann and Tilley Dog skiing the Mammoth Crest in Mammoth Lakes, CA on July 26th, 2016, the hottest day of the year.
This was a 9 hour day.
Took trolley from my house, walked through a mosquito ridden forest for 1 hour, over and up an endless boulder field for another 5 hours to the ridge-line.
Why???
To go skiing down the longest skiable decent in the area accessible from my house by way of the free transit system. 85 turns.
