- A storm system is moving from New Mexico into Colorado, bringing heavy snow along the I-25 corridor toward Denver and the Front Range.
- Snow production is enhanced by easterly winds, particularly impacting areas like Loveland Ski Area and Pikes Peak.
Forecast Highlights
- Peak Snowfall Timing: The most intense snowfall is anticipated from this afternoon through Saturday morning, making it an ideal time for skiing.
- Snow Accumulations:
- Loveland Ski Area: Expected to receive 9-10 inches of snow.
- Arapahoe Basin: Forecasted to get around 8 inches.
- Vail Pass: Anticipated accumulation of about 6-8 inches.
- Denver Metro Area: Projected snowfall of 8-9 inches, with higher amounts in the eastern plains.
