Avalanche
A video sent to us by a SnowBrains reader shows an inbounds avalanche at Courchevel in France release from above and slide down the slope into a family skiing below.
On April 16th 2022 1030am I was skiing with my son Alexis age 4… I understood right away both girls would be fine, the mama did a great job.. lucky day for everyone. Nature is beautiful but can be deadly.
The family, with their backs to the slope, were unaware of the incoming danger, and two of them were caught by the snow.
Thankfully the snow wasn’t moving too quickly, and there were others around to help out. It could have been much worse.
A scary situation for sure!
