This massive inbounds avalanche at St. Anton am Arlberg was caught on camera earlier this week. Thankfully nobody was injured.
The slide occurred in the ‘Kamikaze’ off-piste area, a 6,562-foot long route that offers breathtaking views of the village Fiss and the surrounding mountains. The route’s steepest passage has a gradient over 70%.
chuckles67- This must be very embarrassing for you, but gradient and degrees are different. 70% gradient is about 35 degrees.
