This is a great technique for carrying your skis over your shoulder when bootpacking with no hands.
We employed this technique recently and it works great.
We call this the “Jackson Hole ski carry” because we learned it from a client (Anthony) and guide (Mike) from Jackson Hole while ski guiding in Svalbard a few years ago.
There is a variation of this that we use more often that the version in this video that we’ll show you later.
