Last weekend a skier was casually filming his daughter skiing in front of him, when he captured a bear chasing across the run at Heavenly in Tahoe, California, between him and his daughter. The bear was chasing after its mother, which was on the other side of the ski run.
Tao Feng, from the Lake Tahoe area, was skiing with his daughter on Ridgerun Trail on Sunday, December 10, 2023, around 11:00 a.m.
Feng said, “I was honestly afraid it would attack me if I stopped too close. All I could think of was to get away fast, I bet the bear thought so too, and we both understimate the other’s speed.”
