The landslide which caused large parts of Teton Pass in Wyoming to be destroyed was captured on video and shared by Governor Mark Gordon.
Governor Gordon has met with officials from the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and Wyoming Office of Homeland Security to coordinate a response to the catastrophic landslide that occurred on Saturday morning, June 8, near milepost 12.8.
Gordon issued an emergency declaration on June 8.
The mountain pass links Wyoming and Idaho and will remain closed for the foreseeable future after a significant portion of the road slipped into the ravine below. There is currently no estimated timeline for the road to reopen.
