Here it is. The final episode of The FIFTY. While I could explain it more here, just watch the episode about the project, this significance of this line and what the future holds for this project. It all gets explained in the episode.
I’m not done with at least trying to ski all fifty, whether that’s going to be accomplished or not, is the question I continue to seek the answer to. When that day comes, you’ll all know as well. I can’t say when or where that’ll be, but one day this project will be capped off with something much bigger than a YouTube episode.
In the mean time, it’s just a huge f’ing thanks to everyone that’s been a part of this series. There is way way way too many people to thank, everyone from the partners that have joined on a mission to the people just watching the episodes have been a part of it. From the companies that supported this to the random person sending me beta on weather and avy conditions from afar.
I do have three main people I want to thank though. I of course first want to thank my wife, @elysesaugstad who has watched and given feedback on every single episode before it goes out, who has supported me logistically and emotionally the entire journey and of course who has weathered me being gone for months on end, lost her main ski buddy while I’m out training day after day after day and been an incredible mother to our son. Truly a team effort.
Also of course a gigantic thanks to @bjarnesalen, who took a chance on living out of his van to drive around North America to film an idea I had for something that had never quite been done in ski media. I could count more fingers on one hand than counting how many cinematographers would be willing enough, skilled enough, fit enough, driven enough and easy-going enough to ski and film every single one of these lines. This series would never have been possible without Bjarne. So tak tak kompis.
Lastly, thanks to @bcolective for being one hell of an agent/amigo/business partner/inspiration and dealing with so much of the busy work while I try to balance life, family and this series.
