A solo climber was stranded overnight on the side of a cliff in Zion National Park, rescue officials shared on Instagram yesterday.
The man was climbing in Kolob Canyons when he was injured in a fall. He spent the night there cold, hurt, and unprepared.
The climber was hoisted from the cliffside the following day. His injuries and current condition are unknown.
In the northwest corner of the park, Kolob Canyons are narrow parallel box canyons cut into the western edge of the Colorado Plateau, forming majestic peaks and 2,000-foot cliff walls.
