We got some snowfall on the upper mountain last night, but it has been rainy in the base areas. As of 5 am, the Alpine base area got about 2 inches of snow and the upper mountains had around 4 inches. It kept snowing after that point, but the best conditions were found higher up on the hill today. Our storm total is now up to 14 inches, and we will see more scattered precipitation throughout the day and evening.
LIFT & TERRAIN UPDATES: PALISADES
- Wa She Shu is on the schedule all 7 days this week.
- Emigrant will be open 7 days a week.
- Granite Chief was off the schedule today while we performed patrol work. It is back on the schedule for tomorrow.
- We plan to open Headwall as soon as possible, and once it opens, it will be 7 days a week as weather permits. We were able to get the Saddle Road in early on Saturday morning which will help with this effort. Once the weather clears, we will hang chairs.
- The Funitel will be closed for maintenance on Tuesday. We are replacing a bullwheel liner. There is a chance it will still be closed on Wednesday as well, but if we can get it re-opened sooner, we will. In itโs place, Wa She Shu will spin.
LIFT & TERRAIN UPDATES: ALPINE
- We still need 2+ feet to get Sherwood or Lakeview open.
- Alpine Bowl Chair will be Saturday & Sunday only moving forward.
- Kangaroo Chair will be Saturday & Sunday only moving forward unless we need it to host an event for Team Palisades Tahoe.
WEATHER OUTLOOK
There is a chance of snow every day through Thursday this week. Wednesday is the most likely to deliver a few inches of snow to the upper mountain. We are looking clearer for the weekend. Remember to get updates on our Weather Blog, powered by OpenSnow.
