The storms are back in town again in Whistler.  With about 15cm overnight and 25cm over the weekend the powder has been good.  The snow was somewhat heavy coastal snow, but it was still awesome to be out and get in the air a bit. We went all over the mountain today from Harmony on Whistler to Spankey’s on Blackcomb and it was tough to go wrong with a run.

Although the new snow came in heavy, it means some of the lower mountain features are looking good and filled in. This is under the Peak2Peak

We had a bit of break of snow between the holidays and now, but it seems like the next storm system is setting us up well for January and is supposed to continue through next week with another system coming in on Thursday.  Definitely excited to see some lower mountain runs starting to fill in that have not gone the last two years.

Spankey's was also looking real good today

If you go into the backcountry there are definitely some wind slabs from this most recent storm system, and a buried surface hoar layer to keep an eye out for.  Enjoy the powder out there!
