A Winter Storm Warning has been issued by NOAA in Colorado for Monday and Tuesday this week. ย It’s looking for a good week for Colorado this week.

“An active week weather-wise is ahead for eastern Utah and western Colorado. The first two in a series of disturbances will bring snow to much of the area Monday and Tuesday. Winter storm warnings were in effect from 3 AM Monday until 11 PM Tuesday for the central and southern mountains. After a bit of a break Wednesday, additional disturbances will favor more snow late in the week. Temperatures will average below normal all week.” – NOAA, Grand Junction, CO

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST TUESDAY.

* TIMING: BEGINNING AT 3 AM EARLY THIS MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY
  EVENING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION: TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS ARE PROJECTED TO RANGE
  FROM 8 TO 15 INCHES WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS ABOVE 9000 FEET.

* WINDS: LOCAL GUSTS TO 25 MPH WILL OCCUR...PRIMARILY ABOVE
  TIMBERLINE OR EXPOSED AREAS.

* VISIBILITY: BELOW 1 MILE AT TIMES IN MODERATE SNOW AND FOG.

* IMPACTS: SNOW PACKED OR ICY ROADS AND POOR VISIBILITIES WILL
  MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.
