On average, July is Denverโs hottest month of the year, with an average long-term monthly temperature of 74.2 degrees, just a little warmer than Augustโs 72.5 degree average monthly temperature.
Denverโs average high temperature peaked at 90ยบF on July 12, and the average high remains at 90 through August 1. But as of Friday, August 2, Denverโs average daily high temperature drops back to 89. The average high temperature will fall every day from now until December 12, when the mercury bottoms out at 42 degrees.
December 17 through 19 is the coldest time of the year, with an average high temperature of 42.0ยบF and a low of 16.6.
