Wolf Creek Ski Area, Colorado, announced today, October 20, that the resort will be open from Tuesday, October 22.
While Wolf Creek will not take the crown for being the first resort in the U.S.A. to open for the season, the Colorado resort will offer considerably more terrain than Ski Ward, Massachusetts, which won the race to open by opening on Saturday, October 19. Ski Ward is currently offering a single run serviced by a surface lift. Wolf Creek Ski Area will ofer skiing and boarding seven days a week from Tuesday. The Bonanza, Treasure, and Nova Lifts will be operating from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., giving access to roughly 30% of the mountain. The Magic Carpet will be operating for the Wolf Pup & Wolf Rider Programs.
