There are 25 ski resorts open in North America right now and two will open on Thursday.  This weekend, there will most certainly be more opening up.

Just yesterday, the 8 open California ski resorts got up to 14″ of snow.  The 7 open Colorado ski resorts are all currently under a Winter Storm Warning and all forecast to see 10-20″ of snow by Tuesday morning.  All this new snow will most certainly get more ski resorts open by the weekend.

Mt. Baker, WA will be opening up on Thursday after getting 40″ of new snow in 72 hours.

Whistler, B.C. will be opening up on Thursday as well after getting 52″ of snowfall this fall.
