Killington Ski Resort OPENS This Friday

Killington ski resort in Vermont, the largest ski resort on the East Coast, will open this Friday, October 25th, 2013. ย They will be opening on Friday for season pass & Express Card holders only before opening up to the public on Saturday. ย They are going to evaluate the snow and make a game-time decision on if they can stay open on Saturday. ย Killington will not be open during the week, this a weekend only opening.

Snowmakers began making snow on Tuesday on the Rime trail in the North Ridge area. ย They plan to continue making snow whenever and wherever possible.

This weekend Killington will feature advanced terrain only on the Rime trail. ย 600 vertical feet of terrain will be open. ย No beginner terrain will be available. ย K-1 Expresse Gondola will allow for up and downloading.

This weekend, lift tickets are priced at $49 for adults (19-64), $38 for Youths (7-18) and $42 for Seniors (65-79). Season pass holders who have not activated their passes may do so at the Snowshed Sales Center beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday.

Light snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the base of the North Ridge Triple Chair and the K-1 Lodge will be open for ticket sales, lunch, aprรจs, guest service, retail and restrooms.
