Lake Tahoe received itโs 2nd solid winter storm in 3 days yesterday. The first storm dropped up to 8โณ on the west side of the lake. Yesterdays storm dropped up to 2-feet of snow at Kirkwood. This storm is showing up very very late, but weโll take it.
Squaw has now broken 200โณ of snowfall for the 2014/15 winter season. That adds up to about 44% of their average of 450โณ.
All this new snowfall was enough for Squaw to extend their season another week to April 19th.
LAKE TAHOE SKI RESORT SNOWFALL TOTALS FROM YESTERDAY/LAST NIGHT:
Kirkwood = 12-24โณ

Squaw Valley = 6-12โณ

Northstar = 8โณ

Mt. Rose = 3-5โณ

I was in line at 8:50 and it was triple the size. Then in line for 10 by 10:15, it was massive, longest of the year bar none. The 2+ feet was more than worth the larger than weโre used to Kirkwood lift lines.
Where are some possible locations if you move? Just curious
That line at Kirkwood is surprisingly short. Is everyone just over it? WTF?
I know that for my friends and I, itโs not worth the drive to get there at this point. Even with 2 feet of fresh snow, itโs 2 feet on dirt in some places. Over it until next year, and if next year isnโt better, itโll be time to move.
Itโs 2 feet on top of several inches from Sunday / Monday. Itโll be one of the better days all season.
