NOAA has issued a Special Weather Statement for Lake Tahoe, CA for this weekend. ย They are calling for 6-12 inches of snow to fall in Tahoe over the weekend. ย This is a far cry for the up to 4-feet that was hoped for earlier this week, but we’ll take it. ย Every inch counts at this point.

Squaw, Boreal, Northstar, Mt. Rose, and Heavenly are open in Lake Tahoe right now.

OpenSnow thinks we could see up to 2-feet this weekend:

Snow levels will fluctuate throughout the weekend between 6000-7000 feet. By Monday morning total snowfall above 7000 ft. could be 6-12 inches, with 12-18 inches West of the basin along the Sierra Crest. – OpenSnow.com
