NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Colorado that expires today at 11am.
2-5″ of snow is expected today above 9,000′. ย
* SNOW ACCUMULATION...LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS DOWN TO 7500 FEET WITH 2-5 INCHES ABOVE 9000 FEET. - NOAA DENVER, CO TODAY
Snow levels will dip as low as 7,500′.
“A powerful early fall weather system will bring some snow to the area this morning! Winter weather advisories are in effect for the Eastern Uintas, Elk Head and Park Mountains until 9 and 11 am respectively. Snow accumulation of 2-5 inches are expected above 9000 feet with light accumulations below to 7500 feet. Portions of the Southern San Juans may also pick up a light dusting of snow. However impactful accumulations are not expected. Snow showers should tapper off this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be below normal for much of the area for the next few days. Dry weather is expected Sunday and through the first part of next week.” – NOAA Grand Junction, CO today
