A large series of storms just unleashed on Chile and Argentina in South America.  

Portillo is claiming 79″ of snow in the past 48 hours and 100″ of snow in the past 7 days.

The snow piled up at Valle Nevado, Chile right now is towering and the just bumped their opening day up to June 10th.  La Parva will open on June 9th.  Penitentes and Las Lenas in Argentina just got over 3 feet of snow.  El Colorado, Chile got so much snow that they’ve been open since June 1st!

The forecast in Chile and Argentina is for a few days of sun now.  These places need to dig out, groom, get patrol out there, and get these resorts ready to open.
