A unique ski chalet is up for sale for $2,000,000 at Okemo Mountain Resort, Vermont. The newest listing is by Four Seasons Sotheby’s International Realty and was listed on Zillowย on February 19, 2022. The property is especially unique because of its location. In winter the property can only be accessed by a ski run.

The listing on Zillow does not show any pictures of the inside of the home. A commenter on ย Redditย suggested that this might indicate that the house has been vandalized and neglectedย throughout the years. However real estate agents sometimes choose to keep the inside of houses hidden to respect the owners’ privacy.ย The state of the utilities is also unknown.
The real estate agent who manages the property claims on Zillow that “the property could be a unique investment or family compound.” Critics onย Reddit argue that potential buyers would have to tear down the property and rebuild it again because of the state that it is in. Other users also criticized the price of the house. The property was estimated to be worth $356,700 in January 2022 but was still listed for $2,000,000 just a month later.
The house was owned and built by John W. Lyosbey. The skier from Vermont bought the 27 acres to build the home which he used to accommodate international ski teams during races.
