The Family Day weekend brought an electric atmosphere to TELUS Park for the 9th annual TELUS Kelowna Cup on Saturday, February 15.
With strong attendance and enthusiastic participants, the event was a resounding success, raising more than $15,000 for the Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports program.
The TELUS Kelowna Cup has grown into a premier family-friendly ski and snowboard race, fostering community spirit while supporting important local causes. This marks the ninth consecutive year TELUS has proudly served as the event’s title sponsor, continuing its commitment to making a positive impact in the Okanagan.
“Since the TELUS Kelowna Cup’s inception, these events have raised over $200,000 for a variety of charitable causes within the BC Interior. Alongside our partners at Big White, TELUS is very proud to participate in another highly successful event in 2025,” said Mark Bermel, manager, TELUS Business Solutions.
Supporting Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports
This year’s proceeds were dedicated to Powderhounds Adaptive Snowsports, a vital program under People in Motion, a local non-profit and registered charity. The organization provides support and opportunities for individuals with disabilities, ensuring that social isolation and accessibility barriers do not hinder their ability to enjoy active living and build meaningful relationships.
People in Motion continues to lead in creating inclusive recreational opportunities, and the funds raised from the TELUS Kelowna Cup will directly enhance their ability to offer adaptive snowsports experiences. Check out how you can donate online or learn more about the Powderhounds program.
