Photos from May 2 & 3, 2023
We just arrived in Mammoth Lakes, CA, on Monday, and we cannot believe how much snow is here.
The houses are still absolutely buried.
We drove around town today and yesterday and took these photos of the most buried houses we could find.
We also found a lot of damage:
- Sunken decks
- Broken railings
- Snapped telephone poles
- Downed power lines
- Twisted stairways
- Collapsed carports
- Contorted street signs
- More
Mammoth Mountain has seen 894″ at its summit this season, and they got another 7″ yesterday.
The Central Sierra Snowpack is at 252% of average to date.
The Southern Sierra Snowpack is at 331% of average to date.
