Alta Ski Area, UT, Hits 500″ of Total Season Snowfall

Alta Ski Area in Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT, has always been known as one of the snowiest resorts in America. This season is no exception. A 20″ storm total (and still snowing) has brought the legendary resort to 501″ for the season as of today, March 13, 2024.

Alta joins Alyeska Resort as the only two resorts in North America with over 500″ of fresh snow this season. Alta also currently has a mega 159″ base and in the last ten years, the resort has surpassed 500″ in ’23/’24 (903″), ’19/’20 (542″), ’18/1’9 (626″), and 1’6/’17 (596.5″).
