Alyeska Resort in Alaska is having one hell of a season. It’s absolutely dumping up there and showing no signs of stopping. The most recent storm took the resort past another significant milestoneโ€“700″ snowfall for the season.

Alyeska averages 656″ of fresh snow at the summit every winter.

700″. That’s over 58 feet of fresh snow this season. Incredible…

700″. 58-feet. That’s enough to bury a Brachiosaurus. Or 12 Danny DeVitos. Or three giraffes.

Alyeska has exceeded 700โ€ณ four times in the last 10 years. In 2007/08, they reported 875โ€ณ of snow, 2009/10 880โ€ณ, 2015/16 826โ€ณ, and in 2021/22 848″.

The snow depth at Alyeska is currently 153″.

The world record for a ski area is 1,140โ€ณ at Mt. Baker ski area, WA, in 1998/99.
