Trembath was a teenage snowboarding prodigy in Australia, gaining national recognition by age 13. He moved to the United States at 14 to pursue his passion, becoming a professional snowboarder by 17.

Trembath was known for his larger-than-life personality and infectious energy. He co-starred in the TV series The Adventures of Danny and the Dingo and co-hosted Monster Energyโ€™s UNLEASHED podcast.

โ€œThis morning, we learned of the passing of our beloved Wyโ€™East Mountain Academy Board member and cherished friend, Luke Trembath. Much of the world knew him as the โ€œDingo,โ€ but we knew him as โ€œLuke,โ€ a man with a deep desire to spread love and help empower youth.

Throughout his early years as a professional snowboarder and during his time helping to create the iconic Grenade Gloves brand, Luke was a welcomed friend of ours each summer at Windells and High Cascade. As Luke matured and reflected upon his younger days, he confided in us that he felt a deep need to give back and help guide the younger generations. Out of this desire, he co-founded Find Your Grind, a modern platform helping students โ€œnavigate the future of work, build essential skills, and gain the confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.โ€

Lukeโ€™s values and skill set were a natural fit for Wyโ€™East Mountain Academy, making him one of our earliest board members. His latest effort with our school was in the concept, design, and funding of our new Learning Lab, an inspiring educational resource center to be constructed in the heart of our Mt. Hood campus. Slated for construction in 2026, the Learning Lab will feature Lukeโ€™s vision of having Find Your Grind digital resource stations to aid Wyโ€™East Academy students in turning their passions into careers.

To honor Lukeโ€™s dedication to youth wellness, his significant contributions to Wyโ€™East Mountain Academy, and for his vision with this new project, the Learning Lab will officially be dedicated to Luke Trembath.

There is not yet any mention of memorial services for Luke, but weโ€™ll provide an update when there is.โ€

Industry figures and celebrities have expressed their grief over Trembathโ€™s untimely passing. Tony Hawk praised him as โ€œThe Great Connector in our fragmented world,โ€ while NASCAR champion Kurt Busch vowed to race with Trembathโ€™s โ€œAussie Dingo spirit sitting shotgunโ€.

Trembath co-founded Find Your Grind, an organization that helps students prepare for the future, and co-founded Grenade Gloves.
