Report from September 25, 2023

We got out to Cerro Catedral ski resort in Bariloche, Argentina, at about noon today after waiting for things to soften up.

Spring finally arrived in Patagonia today for the first time.

Sunshine, park rats, a wiggle, cruisy groomers, and some young corn.

We still need a couple of melt-freeze cycles to get a solid corn cycle going, and that may still have to wait a bit as a mini-storm is forecast on Wednesday.

Back to today.

We ripped laps on Nubes and had a blast carving, popping little side hits, and switching skis.

No lift lines whatsoever…

These are the ski resort days we live for down here.

We still need it to get a bit warmer to soften up the high mountain off-piste, but those days are coming.

It looks like a solid spring warm-up on the 29 & 30 of September, just before we leave town on October 3 for a southern road trip into deep Patagonia.

This was the best season we’ve ever experienced in our 13 seasons down here.

Thanks, Patagonia!
